NIKO\u2019S YARD<\/strong><\/p>

Meet Nikoloz Badzaghua \u2013 one of the winners of the Social Innovation Competition and the author of Niko\u2019s Yard. Niko\u2019s Yard is an educational and entrepreneurial space in the village of Kheta, Kohbi district, which aims to support the development and improvement of new and necessary skills and knowledge among locals. The sustainable business model of Niko\u2019s Yard is of essential importance for the promotion of similar spaces in the region.<\/p>

Nikoloz Badzaghua, the founder, tells us of Niko\u2019s Yard: \u201cNitsa and I have been married for 5 years. Nitsa is a journalist, and I am a business manager. Throughout these 5 years, we have undertaken a number of entrepreneurial start-ups as we were gaining some experience in the field. At this stage, we are managing a wall d\u00e9cor and painting company Jigrebi (Georgian colloquial word for \u201cgood guys\u201d), cheering up our customers and lifting their mood both with our works and the company\u2019s name. Our lifestyle is a search for interesting processes, and we want to stay active and keep pace with life.<\/p>

The idea of a social start-up stemmed from family traditions. My grandma and grandpa were teachers. Sharing of knowledge and experience was a part of my family\u2019s everyday life. They ran a library from which villagers would borrow both professional literature and fiction. Thus, to avoid reinventing the wheel, Nitsa and I decided to walk the same path.
This time, we decided to employ modern technology and create social media management agency in the village of Kheta. We want to assist local businesses in following latest trends, improving the availability of information, finding new channels for communication with their consumers, and, in this way, support the increase of their sales and their overall development. The pandemic changed standard communication channels used by businesses. The problem was more or less addressed in larger towns and cities, however, there is still much to be done in villages and small district centers in this regard.
We will start in May and build a team of active and development-oriented villagers. Guest trainers will train people throughout the summer in the following fields: social media management, copyrighting, development of photo and video content, and graphic design. We believe that we will be able to offer necessary and practical services to our customers. And we are planning to launch our activities in September!\u201d<\/p>
